« on: February 03, 2009, 09:52:54 AM »
Hey all,
I'm a noob to SME i have set up a box for a friend of mine. He has made a Joomla Page on XP and would like to to put it on his SME box so he can use that as his web site....

So i install Joomla like in the contribs website (great that worked) but now how to i transfer that in form XP and will SME's Web mail still work????

Thanks

Shane

Welcome to the SME Server forums :)

Sounds like you need to export the relevant data tables from your friend's Joomla MySQL database and import them into your own.

Unfortunately this will require some work. For starters, you will need to install PHPMyAdmin to import the data.

I suggest you to search joomla's forums and/or google something like 'joomla moving server'.. you should find what you are looking for.

anyway, welcome here.. please read carefully (and twice ;-)) the documentation and remember to search the forums before posting
thank you

ciao
Stefano
