We have just put up a beta SME/SAIL .iso.  This should download and install pretty much identically to the regular SME .iso.  The main difference being that SAIL-701 and Asterisk will also be installed and configured alongside the regular SME code.

For those of you who have experience with the previous SARK/SME (7.3) .iso, this new one will NOT install the SARK color schemes and graphics.   These are now provided by a separate set of rpms.

Unlike previous versions of the .iso; SARK/SAIL does NOT "hack" any of the upstream rpms or modules (from CentOS/SME or Digium/Asterisk).  This means that the new .iso is fully yum updateable subject only to the ATrpms/Zaptel restrictions on what can and can't be done with kmdl upgrades (an element of manual intervention will usually be required if a yum update forces a kernel change).

You can then either load a VM directly from it or cut a CD using your favorite burner software.

Hi Selintra,
I couldn't get the new .iso to load, even downloaded twice.

So I installed SME 7.4 and tried to install Sail per the manual and bumped into this:

No Match for argument: zaptel-kmdl-2.6.9-78.0.13.EL
On the .iso, I see an older kernel zaptel-kmdl-2.6.9-78.0.08.EL.

Any ideas on how can I use the latest sail with the latest SME?

I could not install the sark-sme-7.4-2.2.1-701.iso, i was looking on http://les.net/sark/ for the md5sum, is it possible to get them ?

Hello Team,

I have download the iso and try't to make the install.

You don't get the question to set een admin password
Then you come in the first setup screen, you fill in all the answers (but it do not saved)
So after every restart you get the admin setup sreeen's
and the install is not going futher (the part off Asterisk, Zaptel and Sail

(for test i have done a install off the iso off Sail-Sme 7.3 and these are goning very good)

If have no experice with bugfixen of setup script's

If there is a new version my hardware is waiting on a new test install

I test here SME always first in a VM-ware envorment, to get the sreen shot's ect.

After that I go to a a standard pice off hardware (19" supermicro Box Pent IV- 2.6Ghz, 1 Gb)

On both i get from the new image (sark-sme-7.4-2.2.1-701.iso) only the SME first setup screen.

Same trouble as Psdata, I mean no "standard SME setup screen" at first reboot, but instead I got the Admin screen. That means I couldn't setup admin password.
