ISP recommendations?
« on: February 16, 2009, 05:30:10 PM »
I live in southern Ontario, Canada and am looking for a new ISP.

My current ISP has gotten into trouble with Spamhaus on several occasions. They have whole blocks of addresses get listed which has included me and my mail.

My current situation is no blocked ports, servers allowed, no cap on downloads for $39.00 per month CF.

I used this site

to find my current isp but am now looking for a referral.

Any suggestions?

Hello,

have you looked in your massage-logs and is your spam proxy enable that you can whatch what internal goes on?
You can also change the ssh-port and activate deny hosts.

Hope that helps you,

Greetings

Thx for reply but I don"t think I am causing the problem.  I'm looking for new isp,

To mak sure I wasn't the problem I did the following.

I have 5 pc's behind my wireless router, behind my sme server in gateway mode, with a modem/router in bridged mode.
I did not see anything in the logs, but I am not expert in these matters.

Just in case I am wrong, I forced authentication using

and

Any other suggestions appreciated.
