User level junk and spam filtering settings
« on: March 09, 2009, 03:42:05 AM »
Sorry to say, I've forgotten how to limit filtering at the user level. I believe the database is modified using the command line but I don't remember how. I'd like to stop all filtering for a couple of users. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Disable spam filtering through the email settings panel in the server-manager?

I didn't make myself clear, I'm trying to stop filtering for an individual user, not the entire user list.

I found a way to do this and that is to use Dungog's Smeserver-Mailsorting contrib. The following comes from the smeserver-mailsorting how-to page and assumes you have installed the Dungog contrib.

"If you want to bypass filtering for an individual user

db accounts setprop user MailFilter bypass
db accounts delprop user MailFilter [delete to disable]

after any command

signal-event mailsorting-conf
"

well you can do what you want but it's not obvious how and hasn't been explained for a while

- enable spamassassin in email panel
- disable sort to junkmail folder
- install spamassasin-level-stars, in smecontribs check the spelling

- add rules for users that sort or delete based on the number of stars
or
- add a global rules and bypass selected users
