SOLVED - Help: Can't find administration link in webmail
« on: April 04, 2009, 01:36:09 AM »
Hi,

I'm setting a new SME Server installation and I can't find administration link in webmail.
Can anybody give me a clue here?...

Thanks in advance!

You might have to describe better what you think is missing or what you expect to find.

Do you expect a link to the SME server administration/management URL inside your webmail? This is not the case.

You probably want to go to https://<your_server_name>/server-manager (?)

No, I'm referring to the Horde admin user.
When this user logs in into Horde, in the left toolbar besides Mail, Calendar, Tasks, Contacts and Notes, theres the link Administration.
When we expand this link it appears like this:
-- Administration
---- Configuration
---- Users
---- Groups
---- Permissions
---- Tree
---- Sessions
---- etc

I'm running already a server so I can see this right now.
I'mI setting up another server and I don't remember what must I do so that "Administration" link appears...
For what I remember, all I had to do was log in with the admin user, but that doesn't work.
What am I doing wrong?...

Then I assume you mean this:

http://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Server:Documentation:Technical_Manual:Chapter4

which says:

Add the admin user as an administrator for Horde

config setprop horde Administration enabled
signal-event email-update
...
