Topic: Help -- access to the server-- installing software working files

I have come across a problem....I am installing accounting software from a networked computer it requires to load some working files to the server, when I install it, it comes up at half point during the install to load the working files to the server and it comes up with a access problem that says disk is full or you don't have access. I do have access to the drive, so does the accounting computer. I have tried installing it under their ID and I did try on my computer as well, both came up with that error.
 It seems to work using an old windows 98 computer but not with a windows 2000 or XP computer??? Any help would be very much appreciated.
