aastra.cfg queries (SOLVED)
« on: May 01, 2009, 08:26:03 AM »
I've finally got some aastra phone for testing and have auto config from tftp working fairly well. The phones even do their own firmware upgrades.

One problem I have struck is the aastra.cfg I want to change the time zone and time server from the default UK settings.

Where is it getting its settings from as everytime a commit is done it gets overwritten.

It's in IP Devices panel.  IP Devices recognises 2 distinct kinds of entity; templates and descriptors;  aastra, cfg is a descriptor.  You can read about descriptors here

http://sarkpbx.com/twiki/bin/view/Main/DocChapter255#Templates_and_Descriptors

Just change it to suit your needs and commit it back.

Make sense with the images there.. I'd had the time server setting and hadn't realised it was picking it up, but was still at +GMT
Once I changed it to +10 all was well, just took a couple days sleep for it to make more sense...
