I have compiled and instaled openbravo. In a few days I will have time to make a how to.

A contrib like Normando is making is the best way, but you could install VMWare (see the wiki) and download the vmware image from the openbravo site to give it a quick try.

Any luck on a successful install. If so can you post the steps you used. I am having issues with the install.

It needs PostgreSQL 8, java, Apache-Tomcat, Apache-ant.
Installation is complex and none of these requirements are supported by the sme-team. You will be on your own and there are howtos for sme-server for all of them.

I promise. The next week I will share a howto. It is not really hard to make.

Hi, thanks for your howto!

It ask for this when authentification is disallowed
Code: [Select]
Enter the password for your "postgres" administrator  user

Password [********] :
Retype password [********] :

I added with nano /etc/e-smith/templates-custom/var/lib/pgsql/data/pg_hba.conf
host     all   all    my.sub.net.0/24    md5

then
expand-template /var/lib/pgsql/data/pg_hba.conf
/etc/init.d/postgresql stop
/etc/init.d/postgresql start

I'll be back with more...
