Has anyone installed groupoffice v3.01 community? If so is there a how to on setting it up or upgrading from version 2.17?

tried to make clean setup cause upgrade not supported by install.txt

Just tried it out on a test server (7.4).

Ran http://server/ibay/install/gotest.php and got the following:

PHP version : Fatal error: Your PHP version is too old to run Group-Office. PHP 5.2 or higher is required
Magic quotes setting : Warning: magic_quotes_gpc is enabled. You will get better performance if you disable this setting.
MySQL support : Fatal error: The improved MySQL (MySQLi) extension is required. So is the MySQL server.
Open base_dir : Warning: open_basedir is enabled. This may cause trouble with the filesystem module and Synchronization.
libwbxml : Warning: libwbxml2 is not installed. Synchronization will not work!
DOM functions : Warning: DOM functions are not installed. Synchronization will not work. Install php-xml
TAR Compression : Warning: tar is not installed or not executable.
ZIP Compression : Warning: zip is not installed or not executable.
TNEF : Warning: tnef is not installed or not executable. you can't view winmail.dat attachments in the email module.
Ioncube : Warning: Ioncube is not installed. The professional version will not run.
JSON functions : Fatal error: json_encode and json_decode functions are not available.

Fatal errors occured. Group-Office will not run properly with current system setup!

Conclusion: Don't bother with this one on 7.4

I'll make a new try on SME Server 8 later on...

against script hackers... i log very much last month..
mail,webmail,mymail and other pathnames...

when will sme8 will be released?

There is no specific release date, it will be released when ready.
The only thing that will make it ready is for people to contribute time and/or money.
Many bugs to resolve (see bugzilla) and much testing of sme8beta3 to be done (also see bugzilla and wiki).

So if you want to see a sme8 release soon (as in this year), then do your bit, rather than just expecting it to happen.

64bit too?

This was discussed briefly elsewhere, but there is no intention to release a 64bit version. The community does not have enough developers to get a 32bit version out as yet.

Please do some reading and familiarise yourself with the written resources available.
