mirror rsync fails
« on: June 18, 2009, 07:21:23 AM »
Hi there,

I'm getting this in mail box:

rsync: link_stat "/root/ --max-delete" failed: No such file or directory (2)
rsync: link_stat "/root/1000" failed: No such file or directory (2)
rsync: link_stat "/root/ibiblio.org::Linux/distributions/smeserver/." failed: No such file or directory (2)
rsync error: some files could not be transferred (code 23) at main.c(977) [sender=2.6.9]

My cron rsync command is here:
Code: [Select]
rsync -aHhimOSz --partial --timeout 300 --delay-updates --delete-after --delete --max-delete 1000 ibiblio.org::Linux/distributions/smeserver/ /home/smeserver/
Seams to be connected with this message (also) from mail box:

No problem on my side. Which version of rsync are you running? Some older versions don't support all the arguments listed in the wiki

Looks like everything is fine here. This is the normal rsync output when running the sync command.

Hi,

the reason for my worries, is that I've newer received a mail before?

Now I'm being mail hammered every 2 hour (script is running every 2 hour)

Did you recently change the version of rsync you are using? What happens when you run the command manually? What happens when you remove some of the options/switches?

Are the URL's still valid?
