Hello All,
 I use the backup to usb utility in sme server manager and that work reall y great.

But I want to know how to check the status of the backup from a remote location.

Can anyone tell me are there any logs for it through which I can track the status of the backup that whether it is complete or still going on

You can look at the log file which shows the start of the backup and after it completes shows the end of it
You can also wait for an email when it is complete.

       But can u tell me please which log file has this information and how can I get an email.

Email is automatic when a backup is done , about log files you can see it in the normal log file ,

View log files ---- next , i don't remember how it is shown but you can run a backup and see.
