I am having a very strange problem. I am unable to send or receive mail for a specific domain.
First i thought it might be a problem with their mail server, so I tried to telnet to it on port 25.
The strange thing is, I can telnet to it from my laptop, but not from smeserver.
I can successfully telnet to other mail servers from sme.
I tried to do a nslookup on the domain, and got the same result/ip from both the smeserver and my laptop, so it is connecting to the correct ip.
The smeserver and my laptop is on the same network and uses the same gateway to connect to the internet, but for some unexplainable reason the server cannot connect to that domain's mail server.
The smeserver does send mail successfully to any other domain.
Does anyone have any idees about what the problem can be?
Oh, btw, I tried to flush iptables to make sure its not a firewall problem, but that did not make any difference
