Help please, is it possible to cancel restore ?
« on: September 10, 2009, 09:11:15 AM »
Hello,

Excuse for my english with frenc accent...
I've made an error and launched a restore on my sme server 7.4. I clicked the button restore toofast before reading the page...
It was a restore from workstation, from a complete backup using the standard sme backup process.

When I saw my mistake, I just reboot the server and disconnect the workstation.
My sme server doesn't rerstart.

How can I fix this ?
Is it possible to "cancel restore"
Do I have to reinstall smeserver completly ?
Will I restore also all my mysql databases ?

And you are the winner, I've tested several ways to return to previous state, but too late.
I had to reinstall SME  from scratch and restore datas.

Everything wes back, except contribs, but it is a normal way of restoring with the integrated tool.
Fresh install > restore datas > reinstall of all contribs

I would first install the contribs and then restore the backup, so you will not end up with the default settings for contribs.
