Topic: Help to configure external ethernet

Hello all,

I am trying to assemble a server using SME Server and I would like to use my Edimax EW-7128g as the external ethernet card, but I am not sure how to do it.
Can someone help me or point me where I can get some help on this issue?

hi

it's not an issue.. it's a wireless adapter and SME doesn't support wireless..

you'd better install a eth nic and an access point like zyxel G-570S v2 and configure it in client mode.

Thanks for both answers.

I had two access points to bridge a network between two buildings, but they aren't working very well (the connection broke for several days in a row - I already returned them to the store where I bought them to check if there is something wrong with them).
I was looking for an alternative to have network in the second building. I think I am going to wait for the AP to return.
