reconfigure LILO

reconfigure LILO

Hi,
I want to reconfigure LILO so that the init ramdisk is not loaded. (as instructed in the FAQ).

Can I just comment out the line: initrd=/boot/initrd-2.2.19-7.0.8.img ?
Is this not harmful to my SME system?
