Hi guys,

I was just wondering if anybody could give me some advice on restoring data via affa to a new server.
My solitary hard drive failed on me last night and need to restore all my data from my backup server.

I’ve rebuilt my server enabled ssh options and swapped to the same port I originally had it configured.
Obviously when I try a full restore the backup server tells me that the public key is required.

However when I try to send the public key I get
Sending public key to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx failed.

I’m not sure what’s happening here anybody have any ideas?

Could be a number of things... You do not provide sufficient info to pin this down.
Can you log as root into your rebuild server from the affa server over ssh using the LAN IP address?
Lets assume the port you have set for ssh is 2211, and the LAN IP of the new server is 192.168.0.11
Try:  slogin -p 2211 root\@192.168.0.11
This will check whether ssh functionality is OK for your rebuild server.
