DAHDI Group not showing as connected
« on: November 12, 2009, 06:11:26 PM »
I have a TDM404EF card with three FXO modules and 3 AT&T trunks connected. In server manager the 3 trunks show as connected but the DAHDI group has a X in it  :-? I can make calls but people are saying that they are getting a busy tone even when I know I'm not on the phone  :-o In view of the problems I am having with *21* and *31* (see my other post here http://forums.contribs.org/index.php/topic,45074.0.html) may be I need to reinstall Asterisk and/or SAIL? Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

The DAHDIGroup won't show as connected because it isn't a trunk.  Perhaps we should update the code to show n/a in the status.  I will put it on the list.

If inbound callers are getting busy tones it is likely that your Asterisk setup is not recognizing far-end disconnect correctly.  You should speak to your Digium supplier about the correct set-up for disconnect detection on AT&T lines.

Kind Regards

Hi Selintra,

Thanks for the info, I will talk to my Digium reseller on Monday.
