I purchased a static IP through VPN from my ISP. Basically my ADSL connection allocates me with a dynamic IP address and then I have to create a PPTP connection which provides me with a static IP. Is there a way to connect my SME Server to the PPTP VPN connection?

SME server has no support for PPTP connections to ISPs. One could create a contribs for this, but it will be much easier for you to use an ADSL router which has this feature built in, or for you to change ISPs.

Yes, "something like", but in fact "not very like". I did say that it was possible - you should believe me when I say that. I also said that it would be more trouble than it is worth. You should believe me when I say that also.
