...or on the console ie the keyboard and monitor connected directly to the server.
Login as root
You issue the commands from the command line interface (CLI).

Moving this topic to the SME 7.x contribs forum, it is more appropriate there. Thanks!

Install User Manager and configure access rights for each user (as admin)
Is is a user equivalent version of server manager where access to each panel is controlled.

yum install --enablerepo=smecontribs smeserver-userpanel

i already yum smeserver-userpanel also , and can see it on server-manager .
my step:
1.click user vacation , Modify user , and enable vacation messages.
2.click user panel access , change access , Selectable some about vacation.
i want to , when user log in webmail , they can set up vacation by themself .

anyway , thanks a lot of .     :D

Users cannot make vacation message changes in webmail AFAIK.

Users should log in to
https:/yourdomain/user-manager
using their username and password.

Note you will have to enable external/remote access to user manager.

Hi everyone

I have installed "vacation" and made it globally available on the user-panel.  The problem is when a user logs on they can see ALL other users and change the vacation message or any of them not just their own as I expected.  This seems like a bad security risk! Ar at least open to mischief!

Is this how it normally works or am I missing something??

Cheers
Pete

OK, thanks for your quick reply.

It certainly seems most odd to allow users to access and change other users Vacation messages.

Guss I'll need to raise an enhancement request.  I don't have the skills to do this myself.

Cheers

you must be aware that most of server-manager's webpanel are designed to be used by admin user..

Yes, that I understand but I am talking about the user panel where the user can change their password (and theirs only) and can forward mail to another address (theirs only again) but when it comes to the vacation message anyones that can be changed by any user.  Does not make a lot of sense to me that this should be set up this way.

Cheers
