Topic: DNS intranet config

Greetings all
first - uptime on my server 62 days -

second - how do you modify the template for named.conf to
allow local DNS records
The reverse lookup is numerical (1.168.192) works
But fails on zone name (macclinic.home)

oh by the way I have qmailadmin running on this box quite happily
but no connection to the web windows yet

I would recommend that you don't modify templates on e-smith 3.1, but wait for e-smith 4.0, or grab the existing beta for e-smith 4.0 if you are a little adventurous, and upgrade to that. E-smith 4.0 will include forward and reverse name resolution on the local LAN.

I don't quite understand your statement there, but I suggest that you should join the developers mailing list if you would like to discuss or seek help with any extensions to the e-smith server/gateway.
