Mumble server ( murmur )
« on: July 27, 2010, 03:12:26 PM »
Hi all!
Now when I bought my quad core 64-bit machine ventrilo-client just sucs.
Running Ventrilo 2.1.2 on my 32-bit SME server for many years with no problem at all.
A free voip app ( i know there are another part in the forum for that type of questions, but there are there more discussions about PBX solutions ) which is stable with both 32 AND 64-bit clients would be preferred.
Mumble ( The name of the client ) works just fine.
But self hosting are a bit worse on my faithful SME-Server.
There are too many dependencies and library's not supported at the moment.
On Ubuntu it works just out of the box, the Linux-pre compiled version behaves in SME environment.
Compiling a version fitted 4 SME server are a big adventure because there are to old or missing dependencies.
Isnt it time to release qt4, lzma, and the other dependencies ( http://mumble.sourceforge.net/BuildingLinux ) for SME server?
Wouldent it be nice with an open source voip server addon to SME?
