Disk ARchive DAR2
« on: November 24, 2010, 07:36:23 PM »
I have my SME box run this b/u weekly, however 4 out of 5 backup attempts I get this error:
/bin/mkdir: cannot create directory `/mnt/dar2/SMEbu1': File exists

I've tried renaming that directory on my win box, and tried a 2nd win box. same error.

Any help on this would be great. I looked through the bug reporter and didn't see any mention of it there. Don't think this needs to be a bug, but I'm sure someone gonna say thats what I'm supposed to do. lol.

Thanks.

/mnt/dar2/SMEbu1': File exists
"File exists" ...on the SME (not the whatever win boxes).
So, delete it from the SME - might need umount first.

This could be caused by a previous backup that failed, or a backup that is still running, or something gone wrong with the unmount command, which have all left a mounted drive.

You need to peruse the log files carefully to see what has happened each time.

Thanks! Went into /mnt/dar2 and deleted 2 directories of b/u files.  I'll know where to check if it comes up again.  Thanks again!
