3.1-86 to 96 upgrade - Blank Trunknames
« on: January 04, 2011, 10:38:49 PM »
Just upgraded the SARK/SAIL v3.1.0-86 to 3.1.0-96 and did a global commit - I now find all Trunklines' TrunkName fields empty - where are they referenced. The Routes still use the Line field of the Trunkline.

Hi,
 according to 'Selintra' post http://forums.contribs.org/index.php/topic,46660.msg231409.html#msg231409
Quote
"Pre 3.1.0-92 the peername was generated (you can find it by looking in sip.conf), From -92 (which is what's in the iso), you can change the value it sets to suit yourself."

So the TrunkName field is new..  set it to something meaningful to describe that trunk,  the automatically allocated 'peer' names still remain.

Yes - Trunkname is a brand new field (from -92 if memory serves).

It was put in after a request from one of our distributors to make trunk recognition easier when there are many trunks.  You don't have to put anything in it if you don't want to - everything will still work.

Kind Regards
