Today I went to check my email, and discovered nothing has come in since about 8pm my time yesterday.  I have made no changes to my system at all.  Checking the Software Installer in server manager tells me This system is up to date.

So far as I can tell, no changes have taken place at my web service provider, and when I check the web based email system there, I have mail waiting in the box to be collected.

What should I be looking for?

I did an update from the server manager not too long ago -- might have been a couple of weeks, I don't really remember -- so I know it hasn't been ages since I updated.  The LAST time I had an issue where email spontaneously stopped coming in, doing the update fixed it, but this time... there's apparently no updates.   :???:

---addendum:

I have sent out an email [which has successfully been delivered to my yahoo.com email address], but still nothing has come in.

---addendum 2:

Just to clarify: I have a website hosted at a web provider, email to that domain name goes to a pop server at their place.  SME Server is collecting the mails from that pop server.  Or, rather, it was until about 8pm or 9pm Thursday.  No mail has come in since then, but I can plainly see mails waiting in the pop server when I check via my web provider's web-based mail program.

Rebooted the machine from within server-manager.... and now it's collecting the mails. Weird, wonder why it stopped working before.   :???:

The best time to have determined that was before the reboot, when the problem still existed. Now all you can do is examine logfiles.

You should be looking in the relevant logfiles, and looking in the admin mailbox for any errors reported by cron.
