Topic: Motherboard for 7.X & 8.X

Can anyone suggest a new motherboard (Intel or AMD) that I can use that will handle 7.X and then be OK when I upgrade to 8.X.

I have read Lloyd's posts and found that byte is using a Gigabyte GA-H55M-S2 main board. I would like to know if I can use RAID1 (mirror) with this board.
Also would like to know what processor was used.
