« on: February 27, 2011, 12:55:36 PM »
Hi S

I notice that there is a trunk

Code: [Select]
Analog-In
in the system by default.  Can you tell me a bit more about it an what it does please?

I am new to SAIL SME Server v8b6 and have been using SME for many years.
I have already done some research and only ask questions if I still can't work it out.

It is a catcher to route inbound analogue calls.  If you have an analogue card plugged into your box then this trunk will be used to route the inbound calls.  It really should be called tdm-in because it will also catch digital calls on circuits which don't have DNID presentation enabled.

It has alias contexts of [from-pstn] for compatibility with dahdi_genconf and [fxo] and [digital] for the Warp.

Kind Regards

S
