http redirect for LAN only
« on: May 05, 2011, 04:12:48 AM »
My SME server has domain marasca.net.br and I'm using apcupsd to show my SUA1500 APC nobreak status. This is shown by access www.marasca.net.br/apcupsd  page.
From external site, this is done on DNS and I have a webforward of nobreak.marasca.net.br pointing to guepardo.marasca.net.br/apcupsd.
It works fine!
But from LAN I cannot access this by using same aproach: nobreak.marasca.net.br because SME try to resolve this internally (domain is configurated on SME server) and there are no redirect.

I THINK maybe proxypass could help... but have no idea how to use it to solve this problem!

Could someone help me with this?

TIA

Change the setting in the Domains panel in server manager, for that domain to resolve externally rather than locally.
It should then resolve to external DNS, even when accessed from the local network.
Please search before asking, an answer may already exist.
The Search & other links to useful information are at top of Forum.
