Printer LOG
«

Hi there, my boss asked me to put a page counter for print services... I setup a new printer install it via samba, but when I print, I could not find the "page log" or something like that. the spooler log /var/log/spooler is empty all the time, and I could'nt find any kind of information about printer logging or accounting for smeserver.
Does anybody know How to enable it?
The CUPS contrib doesn't work properly (it shows an empty window or an error via server-manager) I got bored because it doesn't work with samba also the package seems to be corrupted

doesn't work properly.
Don't know what to do.

If you have installed cups and cups contrib then your post is off-topic for this forum. Use the Contribs forum instead.
If you wish to modify the system to use a page counter, then this isn't the right forum either.
Is your missing log from before or after you installed the cups contrib?
