The RPMs I installed as stated in my previous message were:
libtiff-3.5.5-10.i386.rpm
libjpeg6a-6a-7.i386.rpm
libungif-4.1.0-7.i386.rpm, which requires:
XFree86-libs-4.0.3-5.i386.rpm
I found all these on rpmfind no problem.
I'm sure I still have a copy of them around somewhere, let me know if you're having trouble finding them and I'll post them somewhere.

Thanks to Steve and All others in this thread.
I easily found the RPMs with Steve’s information and completed the install successfully. I also found the same problem as Rick had except that I could not find anything in '/usr/X11R6. That’s when I realized that in my excitement to successfully install all the dependencies, I had forgotten to install ImageMagick.
With ImageMagick installed and:
"convert_path" => '/usr/X11R6/bin/convert'
and
"cache_root" = "photo_root" all is well
I now have thumbnails and size conversion.

Looks like we got the resizing problem covered now. Anyone else having this problem should be able to get a detailed solution if they perform a search of the message boards.

Glad to see everyone is working now.

where did you put the cache folder?
what config files did you change to point to this new cache directory?
