Today I tried to use an Apple iMac computer to access the vmware server control web page " VMware Infrastructure Web Access".
I was really pleased with how well the webpage is more easily controlled using the Apple iMac and Safari.
The Apple computer is an iMac 27 inch 2.66 GHz Intel Core i5  4gig memory 1333 DDR3 machine just over one year old.
The operating system is Mac OS x 10.6.8.
Safari is version 5.1

I have used my lonely single AMD ATHLON 3800+ with os Windows 2000 pro  and that is painfully slow.
I have seen all over the internet from others comments that complain on how slow vmware server control web page "VMware Infrastructure Web Access" is.
I have just tried FireFox 3.6.17 on the iMac as well, but i get the same issues it seems with my windows computer running FireFox, with IE 6 being slow also but runnable.

It would be interesting to what other people have experience with different browsers and operating systems while trying to load and run  "VMware Infrastructure Web Access"

I also used Safari on the same machine to run a virtual machine with VNC. But i do not know whether the virtual machine was being run off a linux host SME 8 beta 6 or Proxmox 1.18.
I believe i was accessing a virtual machine from the linux host of the SME 8 beta 6.
To have Safari on the Apple load the ScreenSharing application, in Safari, just place inside the url description "vnc://vmhostmachineipaddress:port number" or  "vnc://vmmachinelocationipaddress:port number" and naturally execute the Safari web browser to that location. Safari will then load up ScreenSharing which is Mac OS X's built in VNC client software.

I'd suggest you ask at a vmware related forum.

I doubt many there are using sme sever as a host. So there would be less interest for me there.

But I did post a FYI there at the same time as the when I first posted here

I doubt SME Server is relevant to your case in this instance. The webserver in the VMWare product is supplied with their software IIRC. SME Server is further just like any RedHat Enterprise Linux based system, it is just different in the way configuration files are modified.
