Topic: Excluding ibay from backup?

Hello,

I've installed SME 8 Beta 7 in order to be my home server

OK I know that it is not exactly made for that purpose but anyway - I love it, thanks to its easy and good configuration management.

I use at as my own email server -> works great
Using it as a website server -> works great for me too

Using at as a file server -> works great BUT...

I made an extra ibay for sharing my media stuff in the local lan. My media is saved on an external hd which is conected via usb to my "server". I found a howto here which explaind how to get the hd visible in the local lan. Quite easy - I just had to mount it into my "media ibay" as a folder.

That works great, but I don't want to back-up the stuff which is stored on that media usb harddrive when making a pland backup from my server(configured over sme webmanager - using a other usb hd conected directly to the server). The backup would simply get to big and I don't need a backup of that.

So, long story short. Is there a way to tell the server that he should not backup the ibay "media ibay" but all the other one's?

It is ideal for that purpose, you have made a good choice.
As it is still in beta (although quite stable), you should regularly check development status and any bugs or issues that could arise that may affect sme8.x users.

So, long story short. Is there a way to tell the server that he should not backup the ibay "media ibay" but all the other one's?
