3TB drives
« on: May 08, 2012, 05:29:04 PM »
Ive had 3 hard drives fail at the same time (i think as my sme wont boot) but its headless so i havnt checked yet but i can hear a few of them clicking.

Im going to replace it with new hardware and want to have a 6 disk array using 3 tb drives.

I remeber reading that using above 2tb can be an issue and dont want to buy these drives and run them at 2tb.

Anyone know or tested please?

Not me. My server has a RAID1 pair of 40GB drives. :-)

I would use 2TB drives, I made a virtual Storage with 5x2TB drives:

Every time I tried to use a hdd bigger than 2TB I got an error (GTO ...)
