ok, let's start from here..
define "dependency problems" and to do it:
- tell us what command are you using (the exact syntax)
- tell us the output (copy and paste, please)
thank you

yes this version of phpmyadmin is not supported on sme8 ( it is not compatible with php 5.3.3) , please DO NOT USE IT, in any maner to modify your database or data stored in your database. You could loose your data.
I am working on porting the last version please be patient.

phpmyadmin-2.11.11.3-1.el4.rf.noarch
smeserver-phpmyadmin-2.11.1.2-3.el4.sme.noarch
expand-template /usr/share/phpmyadmin/config.inc.php
expand-template /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
/usr/local/bin/svc -h /service/httpd-e-smith

Jean-Philippe Pialasse:
again DO NOT use it on SME 8 as the phpmyadmin version available is PHP53 deprecated. You will corrupt your data using it.
use mysql command lines instead for the moment.
a new version is on it way in the buildsys. be patient.
Mntsnow:
Is this smeserver-phpmyadmin-3.5.2.2-2.el5.sme.noarch now the correct version to use on SME 8 ? Which of course will need the other packages that go along with it as I see in the smecontribs repository a smeserver-phpmyadmin and when I did a check on it is shows the smeserver-phpmyadmin-3.5.2.2-2.el5.sme.noarch being used so I assume this is the correct version to now use for SME 8??
