unable to install dansguardian-stats

Are you using sme7.6 or sme8 ?

The contrib appears to be in the sme8 contribs repo
http://distro.ibiblio.org/smeserver/releases/8/smecontribs/i386/RPMS/

Reinstalling the OS will not help you fix repo issues so stop wasting your time doing that.

Show us the command you used to install the sysmon contrib & show us the full error message you receive

Ive tried to access the dansguardian stats via the browser and i get the following message...

"Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /dansguardian on this server."

The dansguardian webfilter contrib is working and running as expected on the server.

by the way the server is a SME8 with all the updates installed. (running in server/gateway mode)

The wiki says:
This dansguardian statistics web page can, by default, only be seen from the local network (IP ranges defined in Local Network in the server-manager) but if you want this to be accessible from remote networks (public access) this can be done via (default: yes):

Are you accessing the web page from a workstation on the LAN or a workstation external or remote from the server ?

What is the output of
db configuration show dansguardian

the default config was for local access only. I was not able to test it locally until today. Thanks for the wiki referal- i should have read the details more closely- thanks again.
