Music on Hold format
« on: September 29, 2013, 12:20:30 AM »
Hi All,

I have tried everything I can think of to get my SAIL box to play my custom MOH tracks, they were originally mp3 but I converted them to .wav but neither format plays :-o I downloaded a sound converter and made them .ulaw and .alaw and they work OK in either of these formats. I'm sure that I just put my mp3 tracks in the correct directory last time and they just played :-? Has something changed in Asterisk 1.8? Any help is appreciated :-)

Kind regards,
Del

mp3 should still just play - did you remember to reload moh after you installed the files?
wav has to be 8Mhz mono so a regular wav file won't play without conversion.

Hi Selintra,

Running moh reload from the asterisk console worked OK 8-) Thanks again for your help.

Kind regards,
