I installed sme8admin and disabled the imap-service, but it gets enabled after a reboot/reconfigure.

Why ?

Horde/webmail is also disabled.

the IMAP service is now always enabled, but restricted to loopback if you disable it from the server-manager.

Thanks for the clear answer from Daniel.

So, there is no point in disabling imap with the sme8admin-contrib.  The contrib should be adapted to this new policy.

Please lodge a bug report against that contrib & request the fix, that is the way to start the process happening.
