mailsorting - Account admin is not a user account
« on: November 24, 2013, 07:27:25 AM »
I don't know if it's a bug ...
I tried to install smeserver-mailsorting to "turn" the confirmation backup occurred email that receives admin to another mailbox (on same sme), but it does not work.
When I try to configure any rule on admin user comes back to me a mistake and on messages log read:
Code: [Select]
Nov 16 03:42:00 sme esmith::event[6709]: Processing event: mailsorting-conf admin
Nov 16 03:42:00 sme esmith::event[6709]: Running event handler: /etc/e-smith/events/mailsorting-conf/S20mailsorting-update-user
Nov 16 03:42:00 sme esmith::event[6709]: Account admin is not a user account; update mailsorting failed.
Why mailsorting don't work as expected?
Is this "by design" or it's a bug?

Did you try this through the SME server-manager web page?
Under Collaboration/Users, you can forward or copy mail to another account.
Works for me.

Cheers

Yes, it's works.

Actually I forward all admin mail at another account and then apply a mailsorting filter to forward ONLY backup report to another email.

But the question is why mailsorting don't work whit admin account?

Fumetto

I wonder if it has anything to do with the admin mail folders being in a different location than other users ?
ie
/home/e-smith/Maildir
vs
/home/e-smith/files/users/username/Maildir
Please search before asking, an answer may already exist.

It may be the solution to the "bug" that I had.
In fact admin's maildir is not under /home/e-smith/files/users/admin/Maildir

Ok, this is the cause of the problem... :)

Many thanks
