New version of smeserver-raidstatus, the major amelioration has been done by Walter Thoss who has made a full integration to the sme design and corrected bugs...It looks very nice, a big thank to him.

We have added some translations (de, fr),  if needed you can propose your translation.

The version smeserver-raidstatus.0.1-8 is available in stephdl-repository.

You MUST configure the stephdl repo on your server before trying to install from it.
The second line of the wiki article has a link to the steps to follow ie

The wiki is probably not clear enough about the need to configure the repo first.

How? On this page I did not find the packages to translate

now it is not available in smecontribs, so you can't translate it by pootle, but you are welcome to install smeserver-raidstatus and  translate the file /etc/e-smith/locale/en-us/etc/e-smith/web/functions/raidstatus in all language necessary and send me back by mail, i will add it to the archive.

I'm curious to know why you need this. Any change in status of your software raid will be notified via an email to 'admin'. You can also query the software RAID status via the admin login menu.

Mostly because a lot of admin's email are not read by sysadmin and can be ignored, so at every moment you can check the raid with some colours quickly (green all is ok, you can return to work). Further more certain sysadmin classified as "modern", don't want to know where is the terminal and how to use it.

Moreover With this contrib (thank to walter) you will have a weekly status email of Raid see this script

Both of them successfully installed in many servers; together with DhcpManager I think they should be merged in the standard install.

Thanks but even if smeserver-raidstatus is fine, it lacks to be included in smecontribs first to get all languages, i provide only en-us,fr,de
I'm not granted to use the contribs buildsys, so for now i prefer to work on my repository, but for translations i agree it is not handy. For those who want to send me their translations, i could include them.

For smeserver-dhcpmanager the mandatory amelioration is a bit over-skilled since i want to add translations and i need to rewrite the whole contrib.....yeah or i could cheat with gettext like sme8admin. The first work was to get back this contrib to the life, and some code was written because the development stopped 9 years ago, thus the adventure continues.
