Topic: Yum Update - Temporary problem ? [Solved]

On this morning all of my Sme8/32 servers are experiencing update problems:

A simple yum clean all does not help.
Before deeper intervention I try to know if there's some problem on repositories/servers/mirrors

Unfortunately the download link posted there doesn't exist... that folder is empty.

This is related to the release of 8.1, the smeupdates and smeupdates-testing are intentionally empty of packages as there are no updates currently.
However the (empty) repodata was missing from this directories.

That should be fixed at the next mirror sync

Does this also indicate an issue with 8.1 yum as well. I receive a very similar message on my clean install of 8.1.

I thought it odd to that it is looking at version 8 release for 8.1 version as well.

Yes.
8 is a symlink to 8.1 as 8.0 is now obsolete.

When the directories were moved around the repodata was lost and needed to be regenerated but that did not happen automatically this time.
It should now be resolved and just needs to be synced across the mirror network

Some mirrors appear to be busy so it can take up to 48 hours before it all settles down.
