Pydio upgrade from Ajaxplorer
« on: July 28, 2014, 11:57:49 PM »
The installation instructions did not include anything pertaining to Ajaxplorer upgrades
I am currently on Ajaxplorer 5.0.3
I am trying to migrate to Pydio
I use my Ajaxplorer installation through a web server proxy. So my SME install is behind a firewall through a front facing proxy.
Any tips on doing the upgrade. I can suffer little to no downtime. And trying to setup a test VM is difficult due to my SME being 4TB.
SME 8.0
Quad 6600
8gb DDR2 800
8 TB RAID 5
Dual Gigabit NIC
I Still Don't KNOW WHAT I AM DOING. Please, don't assume I know anything about Linux or Centos, I just know hardware

Long time since I did my last migration from Ajaxplorer to Pydio, but there was no known issue I can remember. Just yum update, and pydio will replace Ajaxplorer. Then you have to finish with signal-event webapps-update or post-upgrade + reboot

Then, depending on how you access it, you might need a few steps left:

- If you were using a vhost, you'll need to adjust the DocumentRoot from /usr/share/ajaxplorer to /usr/share/pydio
- If you were using the alias /ajaxplorer, it's now /pydio (you can create a custom template to add /ajaxplorer back)
C'est la fin du monde !!!

Of course, you should test this on a VM, even if you don't load the full 4Tb of data
