I perfectly understand all your comments and agree with almost all of them. But the way janet replied made me think twice about this forum and the way it is handled. I think all the good people that handle the discussions here is really worth praising but those people also need to think more than twice about the way they reply as direct text really have the potential to piss people off. If you know people and/or are face to face it is a completely different story and you can get away with a lot of things because you can fell the other person in different ways, but only text to more or less anonymous people have some pitfalls as the other party may be in a different mode than the writer. I also think the fact that you make many replies to many different people can make anybody a bit short and "rude" in the reply. It may also make people a bit too defensive for SME.

I really like the SME project and like to see it succeed. Part of this is a community feeling for instance in this forum. I have been following this forum for many years (not that active) and know that what we are discussing here have been seen in different ways and threads over the years. Sorry but it exclude quite a bit more people then you may think and also block the community feeling :-?

When I say "stupid" behaviour I do not aim at SME but is looking in the direction of Linux in generel. But to me it is still a "stupid" behaviour and I like to call it like that if I feel it like that  :-P

May be that other people are also a bit too sensitive  :-o

The fact that you can see the person that last edited the file do not really in my opinion make up for this! It is a very limited log system anyway. I think the comparison with Google Docs is not that wrong. I admit that it in many ways has been made with a different purpose but still we handle something almost like a file on a shared device. May be that Linux made some wrong decisions many years ago! Linux is not god and even life makes some wrongs now and then.

You seem indecisive.
I think it is you who is way too sensitive.
I reviewed your posts & you use the word "hate" a few times & repeatedly show an intolerance of systems & software & answers that are not to your liking or personal preference, & you are often emotionally reactive, in that you imply emotion in answers when there was none.

As you say yourself, the words of others are in plain text.
Somehow you have the ability to read posters minds & determine their emotional state.

You have been doing this in these forums for 6 years now, I think it's time for an attitude adjustment on your part.

Looked over my 67 post myself and yes I say hate 2 times.

"I hate vi ;-)"
"some times I really hate the security issues"

May be that this is because English is not my first language and in both cases it was in no way personal but related to myself and with a smiley etc.

I think it is OK to show emotions and better then the opposite as long as it is not negatively related to somebody else. I simply can not see that this has anything to do with "intolerance of systems & software & answers".

In all post I try to stay away from getting personal and just state my own impressions/feelings. Honestly what I want is just to give my small part to SME and improve everything but this discussion really makes it difficult to maintain the spirit.

Think we just stop now as I think we get nowhere!

I am waiting for an apology for accusing me of things that were simply not correct.
You are the one reacting emotionally & personally, which does not really have any place here.

You said
"Sorry I think it was a rude reply you made."..... "But the tone in your reply made me feel as if mother had corrected me".
These remarks were really very much uncalled for.

If you do not understand english so well, then perhaps you should stop making judgemental conclusions about peoples "tone", because you have got it wrong this time & many other times, & others tend to agree with me on this.

In many of your posts you have displayed an "intolerance of systems & software & answers", maybe you should read them all again, & read the responses that others have made to you many times trying to calm you down & present a reasoned view to you.

As I said you need an attitude adjustment.
If you stop thinking everyone is personally attacking you, & respond less aggressively, then that would be a good start.
