Hello, I just see that Kuadra Enterprise Server https://sourceforge.net/projects/kuadra/?source=navbar

looks like sme server so my question is, do yo know wich operating system distro is using kuadra server (centos, ubuntu or other)?????
And what are the functionalities we have in Kuadra server wich are not found in sme server?

kuadra was an old and abandoned project

just search for kuadra in all the forums..

You are much better off to use a server implementation that is maintained & supported.
eg Security upgrades are critically important.

Koozali SME 9.0 is a much better choice for you if you are looking at the Koozali/contribs.org based SME server implementation.

There is no "best" open source enterprise server, as they have different feature sets.
A good approach is to choose based on your current & anticpated needs vs feature sets, & of course support & proven track record etc.

the name is clearOS now, I don't like too much, you can not have more than 10 accounts with a free usage....written in php, pouah !!!

Written in perl, based on ubuntu, but it suffers of stability, too much bleeding adge, for example, there is only few time that they support an upgrade between LTS versions. There is a community, but I think that there is not too much development as a contrib side, all is done by the enterprise which push the project.

They are very old now - 4 years is a long time ! We are on v9 now - I am not sure about the rest.

Best to try an install of each and see what you like.

Consider costs (obvious and hidden), support, and all that normal jazz.

Univention it is 290€ if you want to get the right of install it (max 50users) without support (up to 1650€ with support), I love that free software, I stop immediately my day Job and i send you my CV my dear president.

I just had 2 other questions,
does sme server support website hosting like cpanel and webmin and if possible assigning a different ip for each site?

If so does sme server has a hosting control panel for the client who wants to login to his control panel website?

If not should I instal webmin or cpanel on the server?????

My second question is what is the difference between sme server and http://www.nethserver.org/
