Topic: SME9 : Problem to receive mail

Hello everyone,

The reception of mail from Internet is failed sometime with my SME9 server used only as a mailserver... The queue of messages is empty (1 mail...), the box of local users not very full and RAM memory of server increases gradually without falling until saturation...

Do you have any clues or commands to help me determine my problem?

any change in the meanwhile? I mean router/isp etc?
take a look at /var/log/qpsmtpd/current (even from server-manager webpanel)

this has nothing so see with receiving emails..
take a look at /var/log/qmail/current

RAM memory of server increases gradually without falling until saturation...

and then? does your server lock up? when it happens, is your server still responsive?

if you afraid of seeing all ram being used, don't.. linux, as all UNIX like O.S. uses ram in a smart way..

I'm going to compare SME logs and logs from router because i don't found trace of "lost" mail in SME logs...

Ok about as all UNIX like O.S. uses ram in a smart way.
I upgrade RAM and server increases gradually also. But because it isn't a problem.

It seems certain that the problem was not from SME.

That's quite normal.
