Hi Everyone
we started of using esmith server 4.2 something which was brilliant and we decided to use email addresses in the format jeff.p and we were allowed to do so in that version . Now we have upgraded to SME 5.5 and it wont allow us to use a dot in the username . This seems to be a minor change to the template and i was wondering if there was a way of changing the template for new accounts to allow the dot or whether this is a bug or was changed for some specific reason. We are currently creating usernames without the dot and creating psudonames with the dot but it shows in the ldap without the dot.
Any help with this little problem would be appreciated
