Topic: unable to install on pentium dual core with 4gb

it looks like i need drivers for my mobo. i have a nforce board.  biostar tf7150u m7 the installation needs a driver and i only found this one

It did not work and i am sure it is because sme uses a different linux dist. Any one now how i can get this loaded. I have installed sme before but never ran into a board it was not compatible with. thanks for your help

before buying a mobo for a linux server you'd always check if it is supported by the distro.

moreover, I'd never install a server on a non certified HW
an HP microserver is  cheap and fully supported

It is a old PC that I am going to use as a training tool. it should work i have older mobo's that work great. I have notice that as long as the mobo supports AHCI they work. and this board does

Try installing SME 9.0 or even 9.1beta2 to see if the newer underlying CentOS version supports that motherboad, let us know.
It is possible you have found a mother board that is not supported. Try looking at CentOS hardware compatibility lists (google).
Maybe also try enabling/disabling functionality in the BIOS to workaround incompatibilities.

Well they all appear to be Windows drivers, so not very useful for SME/Linux (CentOS 5.x & 6.x)

You could also try to install CentOS5.x (SME8) & 6.x (SME9) to see if they support the motherboard.
If they do not, then you will not be able to run SME server OS.

I don't know that I can offer much help, but it would probably help to define the problem a bit better.  What makes you think you need a driver for the board?  What kind of driver do you think you need?  The best answer is still most likely to try a different version, but the "rest of the story" would help.
