User Folder Access
« on: October 11, 2015, 06:49:54 PM »
Hi All,

I have created an ibay called Company using everyone as the group. Then I created a mapped drive on each of the win7 pcs and each user can access the ibay as expected. My question is, is it possible to create a folder in the ibay and restrict access to just two of the users? I know I can just create a group with these two users in and another ibay but I don't want to have multiple mapped drives.

Regards,
Del

search here for "acl".. I remember something about it..
when your home dir is mounted with acl support, you can create a subfolder with restricted access using windows' tools..

Maybe the contrib shared folders is a solution...
