Help.. DNS hijack?
« on: August 25, 2002, 08:37:10 AM »
I have had my little website hosted for the last few years. I have used easyDNS and OpenSRS the entire time. I just setup an SME 5.5 box to handle my hosting myself. I am using easyDNS's DNS service, and have modified it to point to my static IP address. I seem to be hijacked.  When anyone enters my domain name they get:
http://ranchonet.com.mx/
and the IP 66.249.203.22

A check of the DNS host setting shows the domain pointing to my IP address not this one. It seems to be doing this dispite the ISP I use to access my domain. (I have tried from 4 different locations.)

How is this happening? The DNS changes have not yet finished propagating. My old host is still up, and one of the ISP's I tried actually sent me to my old host. No traffic has made it to my SME box. (I actually disconnected it from the network entirely to see if that was hacked into.)
