(1/2) > >>

Jáder:
I'm trying to restore my ZABBIX config, so I did all install as wiki page but:

--- Code: ---[root@leopardo ~]# rpm -qa|grep zabbix
zabbix-proxy-2.4.7-1.el5.fws
zabbix-server-mysql-2.4.7-1.el5.fws
zabbix-agent-2.4.7-1.el5.fws
zabbix-proxy-mysql-2.4.7-1.el5.fws
zabbix-2.4.7-1.el5.fws
zabbix-server-2.4.7-1.el5.fws
smeserver-zabbix-agent-0.3.8-1.el5.fws
smeserver-zabbix-proxy-0.2.2-1.el5.fws
zabbix-agent-addons-0.2.7-1

--- End code ---

There are no smeserver-zabbix-server anymore ?
I cannot run signal-event signal-event zabbix-server-update because it do not exist!

Can someone tell me what I did wrong ?
Regards.

Daniel B.:
I do not maintain smeserver-zabbix-server anymore as I do not use it. I still maintain core zabbix RPMS (which BTW are now at version 3.0.1, where the frontend requires PHP 5.4 which won't run on EL5, or on EL6 without the SCL). I also still maintain smeserver-zabbix-agent and smeserver-zabbix-proxy packages.

You should either install Zabbix on a CentOS box, or manually add the missing bits so it starts on SME (symlinks in the rc7.d dir for example). Anyway, last version won't work on SME8 because of the PHP requirements.

Cheers,
Daniel

That's a REALLY SAD notice: you do not maintain Zabbix packages! :(
I'd like to use Zabbix on my unique server (SME)... now I'm not sure if right path is not migrate to VMWARE (or similar) and install many virtual servers.

Anyways, could you share the src packages from earlier versions (pre-3) so I can learn what need to be done ?

Regards

Jáder
