I do not know a whole lot about how all this works, but I was hoping someone here had some experience with this.
It seems a old webhost of mine from 3 years ago (CI Host), maintains an entry for my domain in their zone files. For the last 3 years I have had a new host and everything has been fine. Now I am moving everything to an SME box, and am using a third party DNS service to direct the domain to my IP. It seems that this old hosts DNS servers are intercepting requests and routing them to some dudes site on their network. I don't remember my IP address from back when, but the IP of this other site looks a little familiar.
Using traceroute from a bunch of different locations reveals that traffic never even gets to my ISP network.
These are the last few lines of a trace route:
14 iah-core-02.inet.qwest.net (205.171.31.2) 217.594 ms 217.479 ms 217.365 ms
15 dal-core-01.inet.qwest.net (205.171.8.125) 221.886 ms 222.274 ms 222.793 ms

These propagation.net name servers have nothing to do with me at all. I have had no luck getting in touch with the administrators for these networks. Does anyone have any advice for fixing this problem? Is there a way to query a nameserver for it's entries?
