change @hostname.domain.tld to @domain.tld at SENDING e-mail
« on: August 23, 2016, 07:13:41 PM »
Hi

If I own the domain mydomain.com and name my server myserver when root send message those will be sent with FROM as root@myserver.mydomain.com.

That´s fine but I need to change it to root@mydomain.com
WHY ? Because this server uses residential DSL and dynamic IP and relay his root messages thru IPS . And ISP deny to delivery messages with "wrong" FROM.

I think it´s just a matter of template... but :
1) I´m not sure I´ll not break several other things
2) I´m not sure where to change it... or if I need to change at multiples places.

So... Could some gentle soul help me ?

regards,

Jáder
